For my Birthday Cam came up to Ogden, well really Mantua. We stayed at Gordon's. He came up Monday night and picked me up. Then he drove up to Gordon's. We got there a little later than planned. We didn't eat dinner with them, but they saved us some Hawaiian Haystacks. We just chatted through dinner and after dinner before heading to bed. Right before I went to sleep I got a text telling me that Dad and John and sent me an Amazon Gift Gard for my birthday. Thanks for the gift card!
The next morning it was just Cam, me, and Robert left at the house. I made some waffles that morning and ate them with fresh raspberries. We had one waffle left when Robert came upstairs. He finished it off and made one more for him.
Before Cam and I left for the day, I practiced piano. I am playing in an upcoming recital of Becca's. After practicing and getting ready for the day, we left the house for our adventure. We were told of a walk that went around Mantua Lake. We were also told to be on the lookout for the eagle's nest. We found the nest, but didn't see any eagles. What a pretty walk. I can only imagine what it would like in the summer and fall.
After that we went to a little cafe in Brigham City for lunch. I can't remember the name of it. It was a charming little place. They are known for their pies. Unfortunately I didn't know that until after we got back to Gordon's for the evening/night. We didn't get any dessert. I was too full to eat. It was quite unfortunate. I didn't have much of an appetite at all that day.
After lunch we went to Crystal Hot Springs. I had never been to a hot spring before. They have 5 pools I believe and a water slide and regular pool. We only made it into 3 of the pools. it was very relaxing. We stayed there for around 3 hours.
After that, we came back to Gordons. The first thing we did was shower. Even though I showered at the springs, I still felt gross. Then we visited with the family. Becca made us grilled cheese sandwiches (with 3 different cheeses) and grapes for dinner. It was the biggest appetite I had all day. It tasted really good. After dinner Rob, Becca, Cam and I went downstairs and watched While You Were Sleeping. Cam had never seen it. I think it's hilarious and in my opinion, the grandma has the best lines.
The next morning, Cam drove me back to Ogden so I could go to work. It was a fun filled birthday. Thanks Cam for coming up and thanks Gordons for letting us come stay at your house.
