I can't believe another Thanksgiving has come and gone. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love gratitude and Thanksgiving is a perfect time to remember all the blessings we have been given. I also love family time and emphasis on family time. That's where we make lasting friendships and memories (at least hopefully). And an added benefit is yummy food.
We had a great turn out. In total we had 37, although Ross and Marikit where only there for a very short time. Those that were there all day were Uncle Stan, Aunt Jerilyn, Murray Lee, Kimalee, Taylee, Hadlee, Kaizlee, Tim, Richele, Aunt Ann, Uncle Lee, Avan, Nathan, Easton, Anna, Aunt Mary, Uncle Boyd, David, Kara, Jack, Lily, Asher, Corinne, Kate, Laird, Ethan, Duncan, Liam, Anna, Mary Katherine, Mom, Mandy, Mary, Meg, and me. It was a lot fun and we did a lot of things in one day. Just be warned, there are a lot of pictures.

"Avan's Leftovers"
Okay so quick story time. The past 4 years Avan has put together a little plate of pies to eat. She is usually too full to eat them that night. So, she would set them aside in a "safe place" to eat them later. Without fail, the plate ended up going home with someone else (usually Uncle Boyd). My sisters and I thought it would be funny to give Avan a labeled plate (which ended up being a container) to put her pies in so that her pies would not disappear. And it worked, she did not lose any her leftovers. She even was able to save some of the food from the main dinner, which came in handy a few days later. (It also sparked the need to have a plate that says Beth's Rolls after Kate and David ate Mom's roll off her plate that was set aside.)

What If
A couple of years ago, Uncle Boyd bought a Train Set in Grand Junction on Black Friday. It didn't work (even though the store advertised it did). Granted, it was a thrift store find. Anyway he took it to several people to have it fixed and no one could fix it. Kate for his birthday was able to find someone back East to fix it for him. She gave it to him at Thanksgiving. Happy Late Birthday Uncle Boyd.
