Hiking in Moab for "Red Friday"

The Friday after Thanksgiving I was able to go with some of the extended family for some hiking. I couldn't decide where I wanted to be. It was a day I wanted to be 3 places at once. I almost didn't make it to any of them. I slept terrible the night before. I had a lot of stomach and back pain. I didn't fall asleep until 4:30 am. Marian Monson's funeral was that day, I enjoy Black Friday shopping in Junction and I like hiking. I ended up going hiking. Those going to Junction left before I woke up, and I decided I didn't want to head to Altamont. So I decided to go hiking.

I texted Kara to see if they had room for me. She thought Uncle Boyd did. So I called Uncle Boyd up to see if there would be room for me to come, and he had room in his truck. They were almost to Green River, so I had to get ready fast.

After getting me from Aunt Ann and Uncle Lee's, we stopped by Blimpies to get sandwiches. Then we were on our way to Moab. We all met up at Kate and Laird's house. We figured out who was riding with who and away we went. I can't remember the names of all the places we went, but they were beautiful. The desert has its own kind of beauty.

After all the hiking we went back to Kate and Laird's for dinner. We had homemade chicken noodle soup, roasted cauliflower, and some avocado/pomegranate dip. Everything was delicious. I also had a cup of hot chocolate with some fake coffee in it to make it into a mocha.

Then it was time to head back. Aunt Mary and Uncle Boyd took me back to Green River and they took Lily and Mary Katherine back to Price.

Thanks Family for a fund day!
