Book Club: "The Westing Game"

The family was finally able to get together for book club on Nov. 20. It was held at Aunt Mary and Uncle Boyd's. We had a good turn out. We had Aunt Ann, Uncle Lee, Avan, Anna, Nathan, Ross, Aunt Jerilyn, Uncle Stan, Aunt Mary, Uncle Boyd, Kate, Laird, Ethan, Duncan, Liam, Anna, David, Kara, Jack, Lily, Asher, Corinne, Mary Katherine, Mandy, Mary, Meg, Mom, and me. Paul, Bel, Millie, and Evie came later.

Not everyone stayed in the living room to discuss the book. We did have a good discussion. Good job Mandy. Aunt Mary said you are hired to lead all book club presentations/discussions.

About the book:

"A Newbery Medal Winner

For over thirty-five years, Ellen Raskin's Newbery Medal-winning The Westing Game has been an enduring favorite.

This highly inventive mystery involves sixteen people who are invited to the reading of Samuel W. Westing's will. They could become millionaires-it all depends on how they play the tricky and dangerous Westing game, a game involving blizzards, burglaries, and bombings! Ellen Raskin has created a remarkable cast of characters in a puzzle-knotted, word-twisting plot filled with humor, intrigue, and suspense."
