Pocatello Temple Open House Oct. 9

I got a text from Amy (our first counselor's wife) asking if I wanted to go to the Pocatello's Temple Open House. After confirming we weren't celebrating Mary's birthday on her birthday, I said yes.

Amy, Dianna, Rosie (2 girls from the ward), and I left Saturday morning. Amy drove Dan's car. Well, the car started to have some issues. It was on cruise control and started freaking out. It wouldn't recognize/couldn't shift gears. We took it off cruise control. About the fastest we could go, without the car freaking out was 65ish (the speed limit is 80). We got there a little late.

We met up with Amy's sister and her husband, her brother, his wife, and 3 of their kids (not sure if they have more), and her dad. We went through the temple. This was the first temple Rosie has been in. We were able to answer her questions. The color scheme inside are pinks and golds. They have a lot of flowers. Unfortunately I don't know flowers enough to know what kind of flowers they were.

After the temple we went to Amy's sister in-law's parent's house for lunch (they were sweet enough to host all off us). On the way there, the car struggled going over 45. After lunch, Amy and her Dad took the car to Napa to figure out was wrong. In the meantime, Diana called her sister to come pick her and Rosie up.

Amy and Diana's sister made it the house around the same time. Napa reset the car. They said it was some cylinders miss firing. To keep the engine protected, the car wouldn't go faster. We could drive it back to Utah, but just needed to go slower. We ended up having Diana's sister and her boyfriend (and Diana and Rosie) follow Amy and I to make sure nothing happened and if it did, they would be there to help. We drove 65 the whole way and had no problems. We made it back to Ogden safe.

Thanks Amy for the invite! It was a great day!
