Another Longhorn Days has come and gone. Summer is going by so fast! I invited Cam to come and spend the day with the family.
The day started with Meg, Mary, and I going to the pancake breakfast. Meg took a plate to Mandy, who was at work after. Cam got to the house around 9:30. The rest of the day was pretty busy. We went to the parade (which was a good one, hardly any semi’s and some floats), visited with Julie Seeley, and then Doug and Sandra Swasey, went back to Mom’s for lunch (which consisted of BBQ pulled pork, potato salad, fruit and veggies), going to the car show at the park, watching the Children’s Theater of Alice and the Looking Glass, heading back to Mom’s for a game of Phase 10 (we were teaching Cam to play), and then heading to the park for the concert featuring The Greg Simpson Band, watching the auction, and watching the fireworks. After the fireworks we went back to Mom’s and ate strawberries and dip while watching the Olympics and visiting.
Thanks to all those running Longhorn Days and thanks to Cam for coming and spending the day with us (and for sharing some of your photos)!
Please note that the parade photos are not in order.
