New Year's Eve 2017

How did we come to the end of the year and into 2018? Time flies when you're having fun. New Year's Eve was quite busy. The day before my family decided we would drive down to Green River. This was where we would be having our New Year's Eve party. The other reason for going was we had to be in Moab by 9 am. Sunday morning. My cousin Ethan had his mission farewell. He will be flying to the Mexico MTC on Jan. 2 and then to serve his mission in Mexico. It doesn't feel like he is old enough to be going on a mission. I know he will do great!

Believe it or not, of everywhere I have been this break, Moab had the most snow. Crazy right! They even had enough to snow ball fights and other fun snow activities. After church we went to Kate and Laird's house for a fiesta. We had street tacos, rice, salsa, guacamole, chips, fruits and vegetables. It was all delicious! Then had put some of the tables for people to sit and eat in the garage. So after loading up our plates Meg and I headed into the garage with our cousin Asher. Later Some of Laird's relatives joined us, including his sister Kim and her to girls Riley and Josslyn (we met them a few years ago when we all went to California for Spring Break). What a fun conversation we had. Josslyn does a lot of theater. Meg and I had a good time swapping stories with her about our time in the theater and her time now in the theater.

After the fiesta we headed back to Green River to prepare for party number 2. Avan had made a homemade tomato soup and had purchased things to have a grilled cheese bar for dinner. I thought that was such a fun idea. Aunt Mary, Uncle Boyd and Laura, Paul, Bel, Millie, and Evie, Kate, Laird, Ethan, Duncan, Liam, and Anna, Sydney and Kameron, McKay, Easton, and Nathan all came over. Meg had to leave early because she had work the next day. So there was just Mom, Mandy, Mary, and I and of course our host and hostess' Uncle Lee, Aunt Ann, Avan, and Anna were there. We played several games. Kate brought two games with her Cranium Dark and a trivia type game (not sure what it was called). We also played Times Up (the people version). Then we turned on the TV to watch the ball drop and rang in the new year.

Happy New Year everyone! May 2018 be one of the best years yet!
