SLC & STRANGERS

On Sat. the Y.W. went to SLC. We were going to go to the Body World thing. When we got there all the tickets were sold out. So we just hung out in SLC. We went to the Clark Planatarium, ate at Applebees, did some shopping, and went to the Joseph Smith Museum. I want to thank my leaders for such a fun, stress reliever day.

So in the car I traveled was Rachel, Mindy, Sue, and me. In church and Y.W. I am a quiet person. So Mindy said if I talked to a complete stranger that was a boy (older than 16) she would pay me a dollar. All day I had this in my mind. We were walking back to our cars, right before we went to the museum, and Mindy saw some people she knew. She stopped and talked while Sue, Rachel, and I kept walking. After a few min. I asked Sue if she would be my witness. Sue gave me an odd look. Then she remembered the bet/dare. She said she would. Mindy caught up to us and learned what we were talking about.

We started to cross a road. We could see a group of boys on the other side. As we near the other side, Rachel accidently trips me. I caught myself before I fell. Then we were at the other side. This boy who had blonde hair and was wearing black clothes handed my a flyer. I then asked him the time (that's what Sue told me to ask). He told me it was 4:10. Mindy's jaw dropped.  I then said Thank-You and we left.

We go catch up to Mindy. We were laughing our heads off. Mindy was like, "I can't believe you just did that! You were even smiling and had a sparkle to your eyes!" I think I had the smile and sparkle because of Mindy's awed, shocked, jaw-dropping face. Sue then payed me a dollar for making a grand entrance and Mindy payed me my dollar.

The rest of the way home we had a joke. If we ever had to talk to a stranger, I would do the talking.
