Light The World/Random Acts of Kindness Calendars
This is the month of giving and sharing. I love the feeling in the air from Thanksgiving through New Years. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has posted it's Light the World Campaign Calendar and a vlog I follow gave out a Random Acts of Kindness Calendar. I thought these are both great calendars with ideas on how to keep spreading the Christmas Spirit this season.

Thanksgiving 2019
I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone. My week was pretty good. On Saturday Nov. 23 I went with Dad and John down to Orangeville to visit my Grandma. I thought she looked lots better than she did the last time I saw her. The weather was going to be bad on Thanksgiving, which is why Dad and John went down early for Thanksgiving. We kind of had a Thanksgiving dinner. We had chicken, corn, potato salad, chicken salad, rolls, and cheesy potatoes. Aunt Joyce and Uncle Lyndon stopped by for awhile. It was a pleasant chat. We were hoping to see more relatives, but alas we did not.
Sunday after church I drove home to Mom's. I was trying to beat the storms that were doing to start rolling in for the week. I needed to get the rest of my winter/Christmas clothing. My drive was nice. It was dark while I was going over Wolf Creek. I imagined it was really beautiful. I really love looking at snow covered mountains. My roads were dry so no problems there.
On Monday I thought about going to buy a car, but the 2 of 3 I was going to look at were already sold. Between my indecisiveness and weather I didn't go. i just enjoyed the day at home looking and dreaming about cars with heated steering wheels.
Later that night Mary and I went to the high school's production of Seussical the Musical. Mary had watch the first half with the elementary, but had hadn't seen the second act. She really wanted to see how it ended. I thought it was cute. My only complaint is I couldn't always here what was being said or sung.
On Tuesday, Mom, Mandy, Mary and I made our way to Green River. Again we were beating the storms, which was a wise decision. Roads were great. The rest of Tuesday through Wednesday we helped finished setting up for Thanksgiving. Of course we chatted and had a good time enjoying each others company.
On Wednesday we got to look through some of Grandma Mathis' things that had been left at her house. We got to choose some things to take home. I choose a necklace that has a leaf inside. I also took some of her nursing things to make a shadow box with. I'm pretty excited to make it. Although it probably won't happen until the new year.
Thursday came and it is Thanksgiving. In attendance we had Uncle Stan and Aunt Jerilyn, Kate, Laird, Duncan, Liam, and Anna, Kara, Dave, Jackson, Lilly, Asher, and Corinne, Paul, Bel, Millie, and Evie, Aunt Mary and Uncle Boyd, Aunt Ann, Uncle Lee, Avan, and Anna, and Mom, Mandy, Mary, Meg, and I. Kara gave a speech for one of her classes. We played a game Kara brought where we were trying to guess what everyone was thankful for. You write it on a slip of paper. One person reads all the papers and then you start guessing and build your team. Laird was the ultimate winner. No one remembered what he had written down, We played it with movie/book characters. We also played What If. The younger girls were trying to put on a little play for us.
It was a fun time. I forgot to mention they had pickle ball going throughout the day too. I didn't get the chance to play. I was still helping set up the first time, and then I was too full for the second round. Dinner was yummy and so was desert. Thanks to everyone for making it a great Thanksgiving.
On Friday I couldn't go to Grand Junction. I had to work on Saturday. Roads weren't great driving back. Highway 6 had some snow and it was slower going and I put the car into second gear. I have driven in worse. I was grateful to be in Mom's Outback. I did stop along the way back to Dad's to do some shopping. I found some Christmas presents and some fun decorations for me.
It was great week. I wish it hadn't ended as soon as it did. That darn thing being an adult with a job that doesn't follow school vacations. Thanks again to everyone that made this year a great Thanksgiving.

TR Banquet
On Nov. 19 BYU held a Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Banquet to honor all past and present TR students with the closing of the program. It was fun catching up with some of my classmates, professors, and Karie. We enjoyed a nice meal, speeches, pictures, and catching up with friends.

Thankful Tree
We made a Thankful Tree at work with our patients. I'm hoping it will stay up through Thanksgiving and I want to keep having patients add leaves to the tree. I'm excited for this and I think it will be fun for the unit.
