Sunday after church I drove home to Mom's. I was trying to beat the storms that were doing to start rolling in for the week. I needed to get the rest of my winter/Christmas clothing. My drive was nice. It was dark while I was going over Wolf Creek. I imagined it was really beautiful. I really love looking at snow covered mountains. My roads were dry so no problems there.
On Monday I thought about going to buy a car, but the 2 of 3 I was going to look at were already sold. Between my indecisiveness and weather I didn't go. i just enjoyed the day at home looking and dreaming about cars with heated steering wheels.
Later that night Mary and I went to the high school's production of Seussical the Musical. Mary had watch the first half with the elementary, but had hadn't seen the second act. She really wanted to see how it ended. I thought it was cute. My only complaint is I couldn't always here what was being said or sung.
On Tuesday, Mom, Mandy, Mary and I made our way to Green River. Again we were beating the storms, which was a wise decision. Roads were great. The rest of Tuesday through Wednesday we helped finished setting up for Thanksgiving. Of course we chatted and had a good time enjoying each others company.
On Wednesday we got to look through some of Grandma Mathis' things that had been left at her house. We got to choose some things to take home. I choose a necklace that has a leaf inside. I also took some of her nursing things to make a shadow box with. I'm pretty excited to make it. Although it probably won't happen until the new year.
It was a fun time. I forgot to mention they had pickle ball going throughout the day too. I didn't get the chance to play. I was still helping set up the first time, and then I was too full for the second round. Dinner was yummy and so was desert. Thanks to everyone for making it a great Thanksgiving.
On Friday I couldn't go to Grand Junction. I had to work on Saturday. Roads weren't great driving back. Highway 6 had some snow and it was slower going and I put the car into second gear. I have driven in worse. I was grateful to be in Mom's Outback. I did stop along the way back to Dad's to do some shopping. I found some Christmas presents and some fun decorations for me.
It was great week. I wish it hadn't ended as soon as it did. That darn thing being an adult with a job that doesn't follow school vacations. Thanks again to everyone that made this year a great Thanksgiving.
