On Aug. 10 I was able to drive down to Orangeville for the Humphrey Reunion. Yes the lamb and scones were delicious. I've come to the conclusion I don't know any of my more distant relatives. I visited with Aunt Shauna, Amy, Valerie, Aunt Natalie, Aunt Joyce, Rachel, and Grandma. Christine, Melissa and her girls came after it was basically over and we chatted for a while afterward.
Aunt Natalie had left her tumbler mug that Melissa had given her for Christmas. We sent her a picture asking if she had left something. Then we hid by a young relative (I don't know her name) that was red headed. We told Aunt Natalie a little red head had taken and she was too fast for us to catch up to. Aunt Natalie came back to the park and rescued her mug.
Afterward I left to come back to Provo/Spanish Fork for a wedding reception. Madi, my roommate from Price, was married in the Payson Temple to Scott. I went to Spanish Fork for the reception. I'm so excited for them. They make a beautiful couple! I didn't stay for too long because I didn't know anyone there besides Madi and her mom. As I was leaving, Madi's mom caught me and I had to wait to and talk to her for a few minutes before I left. What a busy weekend for them. Her son was having his mission farewell on the 11th.
It was a fun day.
(Sorry I didn't take any pictures at the reunion. I only took a couple at the reception.)

Another Mathis Family Party
The Mathis side of the family likes to party and yesterday we had another party. David John leaves for Alabama today to start his Doctorate Program. We had a party to say farewell and good luck and Happy Birthday to our August Birthdays. We met at the Helper Park. I couldn't remember how to get there. I don't think I've been there since I was in Elementary School. After several side streets I finally made it. We had sandwiches and pizza and melon for dinner. We just chatted and Uncle Wayne was giving away some of David's old items, and if no one claimed them, he gave them to Amy.
As I was taking photos of the kids on the playground, Corinne said to me, "I'm really going to miss David. He's a great guy." I think your right Corrine. David is a great guy and we're all going to miss him.
Aunt Ann had brought a box of some of Grandma's old things. We found a post card that was addressed to Uncle Stan and Aunt Jerilyn. We put a stamp on it and Kara is going to mail it to them. I wish I could be there to see their reaction.
We also had a dog come and join the party. The funniest part was when the dog came up to Anna. She hadn't noticed the dog. It gave her a big lick on the face. The dog was gone before she saw it. I was sitting next to her. She turned to me, thinking I had licked her and said, "Cassy!" Kara, Amy and I just started laughing. Then Anna realized there was a dog and that was what had licked her. So then she started laughing too.
It was great time. Thanks family for some more wonderful memories.

On my drive I saw this beautiful rainbow. Meg is rubbing off on me and at the summit I pulled off the road to capture a picture of it.

Emery County Fair Concert
On Aug. 3 I was able to go to the Emery County Fair concert with Meg, my cousins Christine, Melissa, Eric, their kids, D'Lee and Aunt Natalie. It was a lot of fun. I got to see a whole new side of Eric that was pretty entertaining. The opening band was fun to. I don't have any pictures and I dont' know their name, but they did great. Thanks family for helping make some fun new memories.
Thanks Aunt Mary and Uncle Boyd for letting me crash at your house that night so I didn't have to drive back that night. I'm glad I was able to go to church with you because I got to see Tain and Lanan Curtis and Rita Dunn. Glad to see you guys are doing well.

This is one of my favorite songs Granger Smith performed.
Madi's Bridal Shower
I also got to see Amanda, another roommate that lived with Madi and I. It was fun to catch up with her. I was very grateful she was there because I didn't know anyone else.
Congrats Madi and I wish you the best on this new adventure of yours!
Fixed Car
So back at the end of May (May 30th to be exact) I was in a small car accident. I rear-ended a car by accelerated to quickly at a green light. I decided to make a claim with my insurance and get my car fixed. I had an appointment made to take my car in on June 13th to get it fixed.
I got a call later that afternoon saying that they were probably going to total my car. They had found some internal damage to my car. They said they would need to get an adjuster to make a final call on my car. Well, somehow my case went through the cracks and an adjuster never came.
After many phone calls and emails, and about 1 1/2 months later we got an adjuster there and they decided to total my car. I was at a crossroads. I could buy my car back from the insurance, take the sum of money they offered me, and fix it on my own and getting a branded, re-built title, or I could take a different sum of money and have my car totaled and walk away from it. After talking with my family and some trusted friends, and Dynamic Collision who could fix my car for cheap, I decided to keep my car.
I got my car back and fixed at the end of July. It still may need a starter because every once in awhile it struggles to start. Other than that it seems to be running ok.

Coin Pusher Break In
Last Friday, July 26th we had someone break into our coin pushers. It had started as a normal day at work. I was in the office and I had looked up to watch the cameras. I noticed someone at the quarter pushers and he was standing funny. I decided to watch him. I noticed is arm was at the side of the machine and it was doing an up and down, circular motion. That's when I realized he had a wire and was using it to get into the coin pusher and push out coins, some cash, and prizes.
I watched for another minute to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. When I confirmed it and I walked out of the office and over to the coin pushers. I stood behind and to the side of him. I wanted to know how long it would take him to notice me. I noticed when he went to grab some coins that had fallen. He tried to hide his wire and said, "Sorry, I dropped something." I replied, "Maybe, but I'm still going to ask you leave. I saw your wire." He said ok and left. I called my boss and told him what had happened and he was at Sam's Club doing some shopping. He came up and said he would take care of it. I didn't think anymore about it.
Today the guy came back in. I wasn't sure it was him until my coworker came in and told me it was him. I texted my boss and he told me to call the police. I called dispatch and told them of the break in and that he was here. The police came and I had to pull up the video of him getting into the coin pushers. I also had to fill out a witness statement. The arrested the guy and I think I had a few other warrants out for his arrest.
It was an interesting experience and I hope the guy can get the help he needs.

| This is what the inside looks like when it's full. Imagine the front of it empty and that is what it looked like after the guy broke in. |

Findings at Work
I came to work yesterday to find an unexpected sight. We've had a few homeless people coming in the past month or two. I think they have been camping out, but this is the first evidence I found of it. Then today, my coworker came in and found almost the same thing but people were actually sleeping here. After calling our boss, she let the people know they couldn't camp out here anymore.
