Thanksgiving

Well another year of Thanksgiving has come and gone. Sad how fast things fly. So we did our usual of going to Aunt Ann's house. There were several differences. First was the amount of people. We had a very small crowd. There were between 21-25 of us. Very small compared to 40-50 people. Last was getting Carol to come. With a pull of an arm and a twist of  a leg, I finally got her to come. Anyway here are a few pics of the day.                                  Meg making Mary beautiful for the day.
Were did all the tables go? If you look close Grandma is in the pic. I believe she is smiling.
This year I sat at the old table. Talk about weird!
This is the cupcake found on the younger kids' plates. Aren't they cute?
This was the center piece for the year.
Our annual trip to the Pump House. I love this pic of Meg and Lium!
Intently watching "the claw". We had to watch it do it's stuff.

David John told Uncle Lee that he needed to put a wake board in the water, open it up on Friday nights and let all the teenagers come and wake board. Then he could make some money.

Thanksgiving was fun this year. I'm glad we have the opportunity to go and see family. I hope everyone had a marvelous Thanksgiving as well. Thanks to Carol for coming and for Ann and Avan for hosting.

First Snowfall

The first day it snowed was sometime in October. Meg and I had to go role up hoses. So her cat Socks decided to go out side and play in the snow. Soon he got tired of that and went to find refuge. Bashful on the other hand decided to stay inside and cuddle up with a blanket.

All-State Choir

All-State Choir was "ah-maz-ing". But I guess singing in a 700 member choir in the Tabernacle in SLC is amazing. The people from Altamont that went were Robby Wood, Rachel Gordon, R.J. Cook, and me. We left on Thursday for Riverton HIgh School. We spent Thursday night and all day Friday practicing there. On Saturday we practiced in the Tabernacle. In total we spent 15 hours practicing. But is was all worth it in the end. If any one gets the chance to go sing or listen I highly suggest it!
Sad thing is I like last years better. Why would be the songs. There was more variety and upbeat songs. The other sad thing is this was my last year to go. :(

Letter Boxing

During Easter, on April 11, this year we did a thing called Letter-Boxing. It was introduced to us by my cousin Kate. What I call it is stamp hunting. You can go through out the U.S. and find these boxes with stamps in them. In these boxes there is a stamp and a stamp book. You also have your own stamp and stamp book. Once you find the box, you stamp your stamp in their stamp book, and you stamp the other stamp in your book. Have I confused you yet? I was very confused myself when Kate and Mandy tried to explain this to me. If you want to learn more about it and where the stamps and clues are go to the web site www.letterboxing.org.
Mary and I riding in the car to Thompson Canyon
Meg was our fearless driver
This is my Grandma. She came but stayed in the car.
On the hunt for the 1st box
Looking at a clue........?
Not really our big clue told to look up something about the Indians.
Ethan who had just found the box.
Our 1st stamp had been found.
This is our crew getting ready to stamp
This is what we stamped in the book.
The Monkey Pirate represents the Thayn/Clark crew.
The few on the right our the Gardner Girls' stamps.
Meg's is the M, Mandy's is the Flower on the bottom, Mary's is the flower on the top, and mine is the Sun. We designed these ourselves.

This is Duncan and Ethan. This is an old car left at Sego Canyon. This was were we found our 2nd box.
This is an old store house. Apparently Sego use to be a thriving town.
This was a boarding house for all the miners. It was huge.
This is Liam in the Ice House. It was next to the Store House.
We had finally found the box
This pic is of some of us just exploring the area.
From June 6-15 I went to Idaho with Carol. We stayed with her cousin Ann. Ann is the Relief Society president. She took us to an enrichment. Lo an Behold, What Where They Doing? LETTER-BOXING, on a much smaller scale. We Went to a ladies house and hunted for the boxes in her yard. It was a gigantic yard and house.
More Stamping
More Stamping. The lady holding the lid is Ann Hessing, Carol's cousin.

Prom Pics & Stories

Prom was a blast. I had a great time at the dance. I think the DJ helped and my group of friends that I went with helped me to have fun. My date was Kyle Kettle. I had 2 friends go with us. There was Kelsey Pugh and her date Brady Enman. My other friend was Rachel Dunsmore and her date Jesse Smith. We all did the day-date and went to prom. For our date we went bowling and went to the movie Knowing. The next day was prom. Prom was held at Hidden Springs Ranch. It's not to far from my house, so the meeting place was here at home. Our chauffeur was Kelsey's brother Kyle and his girlfriend Misty. When we got in the car all the boys gave us roses. Then we went to prom.
Meg helped me with my hair. It took about 1-11/2 hours to  do. Mandy helped with my make-up. They both did such a great job!! I don't know what I would have done without them!!
Now wasn't I worth waiting for?

My cat was terrified of the boys when they came. So she jumped off my bed and hid under it.

Pic of the group. I loved all of our dresses.

Rachel Dunsmore was named Second Attendant at prom. I was so happy for her! Bryson Foy was also the Second Attendant. Sydnee Justice was named Princess and Kolby Allred the Prince. Sidney Samuels was named Queen with Russel Brinkerhoff as King.

There was a daddy-daughter/mother-son dance. I didn't dance this dance. Here is pic of Kellz dancing with her daddy.

Promenade

Our dancing skills put to the test.

This is a pic of those who were left by the end of the night.
