Flaming Goat Cheese?

So as many of you know the Mathis and Thayn families (or as now the Gardner and the Thayn families) go to Grand Junction, Colorado for the after Thanksgiving sales. For lunch we eat at a bar called the Blue Moon.
So in my Speech and Drama class yesterday we played a get to know you game. You had to write down 2 I Haves and 1 I Haven't. My first I have was I've eaten flaming goat cheese at a bar. I can't remember my second I Have. My I Haven't was I've never been to four corners.
As my teacher Vickie Jessen read these off we had to guess the person. Everyone knew it was me because mine was the last card. So she read the first one (the flaming goat cheese). Everyone just stared at me. My friend Heather Bruce was like, "It's true. She's told me."
Vickie then asked how they made it. I couldn't think of the word Brandy. So I told them that it was goat cheese and they put alcohol over it. Then they light it on fire to have a cool effect and burn out the alcohol.
Needless to say, I shocked everyone(HeHeHeHe)! Vickie read the others, but I don't think anyone heard them.

1st Date & Prom

All right Marie, here is the story for you. Then you won't have to ask Carol for a report. So on Monday I went on my first date. I went with a kid in the 11th grade (no I won't put his name without his permission). He took me up to the mountains (yes, I just said the mountains). Scary how there is not much snow. Anyway, he took me to see some Mountain Goats. His family had been up there over the weekend and they could see them. Well, We didn't see any.
So we went back to the dam up at Rock Creek. There we had a picnic. We had hot dogs, Doritos (the best chips), cookies, and pop. We talked about random things. After dinner he told me is back up plan was if I didn't like the mountains, he would have taken me to Pinnwillies. For those of you who don't know what Pinnwillies is it's a place to eat with really good food (or so I've been told) out in the middle of nowhere. So I thought man I should have said I hate the mountains.
He also told me at first he was going to take me to the movies. His mother told him to be more original. So we went to the mountains (he said that was an idea she gave him).
We got home. While he was walking me to the door he asked me to go to prom. Talk about shocked. Not shocked that he asked me, shocked that it was on the 1st date we had ever had. So the thought running through my mind was I don't know. By accident I said that out loud. Then I told him I would get back to him on that.
So I've spent the last 3 days thinking on how to reply. We decided to go with Sweetish Fish. I'm going to put them in a jar. On the jar I'll have a poem that says Count The Fish and You Will See, If You Can Go To Prom With Me. For If it's odd the answers no, but if it's even then I'll go. Towards the bottom of the jar (inside) I'll have a note that says Eat As Many As You Want To Make It An Even Number.
Thanks to those who gave my the ideas. Maybe I'll use them for some other things.

Decisions...... Decisions.......

Sometimes there are too many decisions you have to make in life. In fact you make them everyday. Well, I've come to some decision making time. Should I get married or not? Just Kidding! I need to decide what classes to take this term. Should I drop my Academic Decathlon class and switch it to Biology 6th hour, take health 2nd hour (my origonal Biology hour) and take Speech & Drama or Foods 7th hour? I just don't know.
I'm also thinking about a dance class. Pretty much all of my friends are in it. I went on Thursday to see what it's like. It was entertaining. Another question is should I find a new piano competition song since I can't seem to find the one I want to do?
Too many questions with very little answers! What do you folks think I should do? If you have any solutions let me know!

SLC & STRANGERS

On Sat. the Y.W. went to SLC. We were going to go to the Body World thing. When we got there all the tickets were sold out. So we just hung out in SLC. We went to the Clark Planatarium, ate at Applebees, did some shopping, and went to the Joseph Smith Museum. I want to thank my leaders for such a fun, stress reliever day.
So in the car I traveled was Rachel, Mindy, Sue, and me. In church and Y.W. I am a quiet person. So Mindy said if I talked to a complete stranger that was a boy (older than 16) she would pay me a dollar. All day I had this in my mind. We were walking back to our cars, right before we went to the museum, and Mindy saw some people she knew. She stopped and talked while Sue, Rachel, and I kept walking. After a few min. I asked Sue if she would be my witness. Sue gave me an odd look. Then she remembered the bet/dare. She said she would. Mindy caught up to us and learned what we were talking about.
We started to cross a road. We could see a group of boys on the other side. As we near the other side, Rachel accidently trips me. I caught myself before I fell. Then we were at the other side. This boy who had blonde hair and was wearing black clothes handed my a flyer. I then asked him the time (that's what Sue told me to ask). He told me it was 4:10. Mindy's jaw dropped.  I then said Thank-You and we left.
We go catch up to Mindy. We were laughing our heads off. Mindy was like, "I can't believe you just did that! You were even smiling and had a sparkle to your eyes!" I think I had the smile and sparkle because of Mindy's awed, shocked, jaw-dropping face. Sue then payed me a dollar for making a grand entrance and Mindy payed me my dollar.
The rest of the way home we had a joke. If we ever had to talk to a stranger, I would do the talking.

New Year Challenge

In seminary yesterday we talked about resolutions. In our talk my teacher asked us what we could do to make ourselves better spiritually, physically, and mentally. My answer for spiritually are read/study the Book of Mormon and listen in church to the talks. For physically I said run faster, and for mentally(knowledge) I said keep getting education in anything. Like for piano, acadec, and school. I challenge you to come up with your own and try to make yourself better.
I also have another challenge. One of my Y.W. leaders challenged all of us to read the Book of Mormon by June or July, or when girls camp is. I've taken on this challenge and I challenge you to do it too.
My last resolution is to get better at the piano and write in my journal.
GOOD LUCK With all you do!!

Snow?

Last weekend we went to Greenriver. We decided that we needed to go see Grandma Mathis before we went to Orangeville to see Grandma and Grandpa Gardner. So we pull up the road to Aunt Ann's. We look out side and see snow. Now Greenriver like never gets snow. It was quite the sight.

Great Minds Think Alike

So at the Gardner party we usually play an exchange gift game. This year we got snowed in. So we had our own minie gift exchange. The theme was movies. You would decide on a movie and buy things to describe the movie or things in it. Once you opened them you had to guess the movie. Mary handed out all the gifts. I got the one Dad brought and he got the one I gave. We opened them up. The first thing I saw was a pillow. It was red with hearts. My first guess was Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
Dad opened up his first part. It was a phone. He knew the movie. Next he opened up a pillow and I opened up a phone. I looked at him and asked if he did the same movie I did. He nodded his head.
So can you guess the movie with a pillow and phone?
