Library Bookclub: Fight Club

Tonight I went to the Library Bookclub. I wasn't able to stay the whole time. The part of the discussion I was able to listen to was interesting. I had never read this book, and I've never watched the movie. Being real, I don't know if I have the desire to watch the movie after reading the book. I kept thinking to myself that the main guy needed to ditch his friend Tyler and that Tyler was starting a cult. What an unexpected twist it brought. I won't give it away here, but it was wild.

From Amazon:

"The first rule about fight club is you don't talk about fight club.

In his debut novel, Chuck Palahniuk showed himself to be his generation's most visionary satirist. Fight Club's estranged narrator leaves his lackluster job when he comes under the thrall of Tyler Durden, an enigmatic young man who holds secret boxing matches in the basement of bars. The two men fight "as long as they have to." A gloriously original work that exposes what is at the core of our modern world."
