On Feb. 18 we had the opportunity to see Anastasia. To say I was excited would be an understatement. I have been waiting to see this show for a couple of years. It got rescheduled 3 times, due to Covid. I could hardly believe the day was finally here. Dad and John were unable to join us. With our extra tickets, I invited Cam and his sister Ann to watch with us. We all met up in Salt Lake at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City. We have stayed at this hotel before when we went to see Wicked.
The storyline is a little different from the cartoon movie. It reminds me of the cartoon movie and the real-life story combined into one. Rasputin is not the bad guy in this production. It is a Soviet officer. From the website: "Inspired by the beloved films, ANASTASIA transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family."
Thanks family and friends for a fun night! We missed you Dad and John!
