Dad and John came to Utah August 11-14 (technically the 15 because that’s the morning they left to head back to San Antonio). They came to Altamont on the 11. They met us at the fair. We looked around the Home Arts snd 4-H sections.
After the fair we went back to Mom’s. I invited Cam over to meet Dad and John. We had a nice afternoon/evening chatting, catching up, and eating dinner consisting of hamburgers, salads, fruit and veggie trays.
I left to come back to Ogden that Wednesday night. Dad and John stayed in Altamont before heading to Ogden. They stayed with me at my apartment. I must admit we did zig see much of each other until Saturday. They had dinner plans Thursday and Friday nights with past co-workers and friends. I worked both of those days and those nights I was at the fair or volleyball.
Saturday rolled around and that was packing day. I went with them to their storage unit, after dropping off the rental car and Dad picking up the truck. We went and sorted and packed. Gumaro and Yvette came and helped too. Gumaro is the Tetris master, as Dad and John put it. Dad, John, and I were at the storage unit from 9 am to about 5 pm.
After that I went back to my apartment for a shower and to wait for Meg and Mary to get to Ogden so we could go to Mike’s (John’s bother’s) for dinner. They were coming with me the next day to Judson’s farewell. Dad and John went straight to Mike’s. Dinner was delicious! Thanks to Mike and Kristen for hosting and feeding us!
Dad and John stayed at Mike and Kristen’s for the night and left early the next morning around 4 am.
It was great to see you! Hopefully next time we won’t have to wait a year before we see each other in person!
