Easter Weekend April 10-15, 2020

This easter was much different from years past. We couldn't go to Green River for the annual Mathis Easter Party. Due to the Corona Virus (Covid-19) they limited gatherings to only 10 people and to #StaySafe #StayHome. So no one went to Green River. I had a hard time deciding to go to Altamont. It's not thought that I didn't want to go, but I also felt I should follow the governors advice to stay in Ogden. Between Meg, Dad, and John, I was convinced to go home.

But before that, On April 10 I was able to introduce Yvette, Gumaro, Dad, and John to Hawaiian Haystacks and to the movie Second Hand Lions. It was a delicious meal if I do say so myself and everyone laughed through the movie.

Earlier that day Mary wanted to know how many bunnies Dad and John had out. I sent her the following photos for her to count. I counted 48.

April 11 I drove home and was going to surprise everyone. But I got phone calls, so I only surprised Mary and Carol. Meg, Mandy, and I played Harry Potter Ultimate Trivia. We were going for hours and didn't finish. I won (I had all but one color). Trivia came from both the books and the movies.

Sunday, April 12, came and the Easter Bunny had found us. In my basket I had Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, Godiva Dark Chocolate, M&M's Eggs, Cadbury Mini Eggs, Portable Device Car Mount, Puzzle, another puzzle thing called Fidgitz, and some money. Thanks Easter Bunny!

Carol came over for a brunch and we had a feast. We had egg, bacon, cheese muffins, berry muffins, pistazo, and juice. It was delicious. We played UNO Flip and 5 Crowns that afternoon. Later we watched some YouTube videos of Disney Land Rides both in the park and ones people created at home. Meg and I tried looking for the Mickey Mouse Ears on the Peter Pan ride again. And still, we can't find them. For dinner we had Sweet Potato Soup and Mandy and I made rolls for the first time. We tried to make little bunnies. The shapes didn't turn out quiet right, but they were tasty!

The one on the left looks like the marshmallow peeps this time of year.

On Monday we went to Roosevelt. I wanted a Fresh Lime from Round Robin. We stopped by the fabric shop first and then to Round Robin. You can't eat there so we called in and picked it up and took it home for the family. Yes, it was just how I remembered it! Yum!

We found Mickey! Our onion rings made Mickey Mouse Ears, and we didn't arrange them like that.
Wednesday came all too soon and it was time to come back to Ogden for Work. Mom had made masks most of the day and I was able to take some of them back for Dad, John, Yvette, Gumaro, and myself. Hopefully I'll be able to wear them.

Gas prices are low right now. It is quite a bit cheaper in Altamont than Ogden and I wanted to document it. It's still around $2.15 in Ogden.
