Halloween Cookies 2020

My voting ballot was sent to Mom’s house. I went to pick it up and had the opportunity to participate in the annual Halloween Cookie Decorating. This tradition started when I was in college. This was the first year I actually got to participate in it. One day I hope to be like my mom and able to come up with a designs fast. Thanks ladies for a fun evening!

Arthur Halloween Special

A movie I was watching on my DVR ended and PBS came on. Arthur’s Halloween special was on and the character Muffy was waiting out a rain storm in a cemetery. She finds a lost cat with this collar.
I thought it is a clever Easter egg for the movie Nightmare on Elm Street.

New Car

I bought a new car! It’s a 2020 Subaru Forester Premium.
It almost has all the features I want (no heated steering wheel). My favorite feature so far is the auto-dimming exterior mirrors. I think all cars should come with this feature!

Crazy Weather

Following Labor Day Utah Experienced some crazy weather! We had category 3 hurricane winds that took out thousands of trees and left hundreds of thousands without power throughout the Wasatch Front (Cache County to Utah County). At Mom's we experienced some wind (but it felt like normal basin wind) and cooler temperatures bringing snow.

The power went out at my apartment. According to an email I received from Rocky Mountain Power, my power went out on Tuesday September 8th around 4 am. It did not come back on until Thursday September 10th around 4 pm. I know several still didn't have power throughout the weekend and into the following week.

I guess it is a good thing I decided to go to Mom's after Labor Day.
Thanks to all those who worked to clean up the debris and trees and worked to restore power.
