BYU Year 2 Semester 1

Wow has time flown this semester. I took my last final yesterday and I am ready for the break. Year 2 at BYU has been a lot better than the first. I did get into the program of Therapeutic Recreation and Management. So that was a relief. Now I still have business classes since it is in the Mariott School of Business. So far they have been better than Accounting and Finance. I hope it stays that way.

I kept my calling as a ward missionary. In addition I have another calling which is a primary teacher. I know, it sounds weird since I go to a YSA ward, but my ward has a primary. Our second councilor is young and his oldest is 5 and his youngest is around 7 months old. He wanted his daughter to have an adapted primary. So there are 4 of us that are her teachers that do all of primary. We rotate Sunday's and times that we teach her.

The following are pictures taken throughout the semester. A Video of my dance class is posted after this post.
EXPERIENCE is what we had to spell for our welcome to the program orientation.

I also had the opportunity to attend BYU Dance in Concert. This was a lot of fun. My friend Gevan came with me. I am always so amazed at what people can do. Dancing is something I have always wanted to learn. That desire has lead me to take Social Dance Classes here at BYU. They are some of my favorite classes!

BYU vs. U game.
Marching Band at the beginning

My roommate Emma Rose and her friend Darcy joined me for an afternoon football game.

The little drummer boy

This year I got to go to the Women's Conference live. This was the first time I had ever been in the conference center ever. Such a great experience!

BYU Spectacular
My sisters came down so we could all go together. Thanks to the Brassfield's for letting us have their extra tickets!

The same day as BYU Spectacular my cousin went through the Provo City Center Temple to receive his endowments. He leaves in January to serve his mission in Mexico. I am so proud of Ethan and the man he is becoming.

The Black's gave me tickets to see Julie Fowlis on Oct. 11 because they could no longer go. She does the voice for Merida and sings Touch The Sky for Disney/Pixar's Brave. She also sang many Scottish folk songs and several of them were in Gaelic. I had an extra tick so My cousin Sydney came with me. It was a lot of fun! Thanks to the Black's for the tickets!

We finally won a game!

My cousin and his kids game to the game. Maybe his kids should come more often, because when they come we win.

I had my hair done that weekend and I felt cute.

Ward Halloween Party

Don't worry it's not real spray paint. It's chalked based and washes off easy.

My teacher came dressed up as Gandolph/Prof. Dumbledore (he said we could decide, but he did have a wand).

Halloween
I was a Hogwarts student, Nikki is a pirate and Emma Rose is a person's soul.

Emma was kind enough to go with me in November to see Provo High School's production of Phantom of the Opera. Believe it or not Carlotta was my favorite. The girl that played her did an incredible job and really brought the character to life. Thanks Emma for coming with me!

In class we got to play wheel chair basketball and rugby. These are my attempts at pictures from it.

Cookie Decorating Contest for our presentation's activity. They did awesome!

The Winners

We played sitting volleyball in class. We were starting to get the hang of it towards the end.

My dance class. This was such a fun class! Thanks Anna for being such a great teacher!

French Choir Concert
Emma Rose and Aunt Mary and Uncle Boyd came down to come see me perform in my French Choir concert. Remember last year how Bishop Gérald Caussé came? He came again this year. His granddaughter is in the row in front of me.
My cohort for TR with Dr. Z. We are missing two people from this photo.  Thanks for a great semester everyone!

Nativities
In the Wilkinson Center in the BYU Bookstore they had nativities from around the world. I thought I would check them out to end my semester.
