Happy
Canadian Thanksgiving! I hope that you all have had a wonderful week and a
great beginning of this one.
This
week was a good week. We went to a "German Party". Really it was a
district party with H, a member in our ward. He made us all a German dinner. We
had sauerkraut, sausages, homemade rolls, real mashed potatoes, red jello and
coconut salad, and blueberry cake. It was delicious. He told us some stories
from his mission. All I can say is wow!
We
also had our training in Quebec for the Open House. It was a beautiful drive.
Although we didn't get any time to do any site seeing. From what I saw it is a
beautiful city, full of culture and history. Hopefully this upcoming trip this
weekend for Stake and Zone Conference we will be able to see more.
With
it being Thanksgiving week here I would like to share a quick thought on
Gratitude. There is a story in the bible about the 10 Lepers. All come to
Christ and ask to be healed. Christ tells them what to do to heal themselves.
They all go their ways to be healed. 1 Leper comes back after he has done his
things and thanks the Lord. Christ ask weren't there 10 of you? Where are the
other 9? The man replies he doesn't know. All he knows is he came back to
thanks His Lord. How many times have we been like the 9 Lepers and haven't
given thanks for the blessings He has given us. I challenge us all to become
like the 1 Leper and return and give our thanks to our Heavenly Father and
Christ for all they have given us.
I
hope you all have a good week!
