Father’s Day 2021

 Happy Father’s Day to all the father figures in my life! I wouldn’t be who I am without you.

I made it home after attending my ward. We (The Gardner Household and Carol) were able to do a Facebook Portal with Dad and John. It was fun to catch up with them. They just bought a house and are finalizing the plans to move in. We love you both!

Temple Cleaning

I had the opportunity to clean the temple the evening/night of June 8. I got there around 9 pm and left about 2 am. It’s the first time I’ve been in the temple since before Covid. I worked with a group to clean the 2nd and 3rd floors. The woman in charge of my group gave us time to sit in the celestial room before we got started. It was nice. 

Flower from the Neighbors

I have to little neighbor kids who recently went around and knocked on apartment doors just so they could get to know the neighbors. They are around the ages of 4 and 9 (I can’t remember their exact ages). I ran into them again tonight and they decided to give me a flower they had picked. I told them I would put in a vase as soon as I got into my apartment. So that’s what I did. What a sweet gesture!

Dinner with Friends

 

After FHE, I had the pleasure of going to dinner with these lovely people from the ward. We went to Chili’s. It was delicious. Thanks all for a fun evening!

D’Lee’s Baby Shower

 On June 5th, my cousin D’Lee had her baby shower. It was fun to get to see family and catch up a little for the afternoon. Aunt Natalie gave tours of the house and including the nursery. It has turned out so cute! The whole house is very nice! In my opinion, D’Lee is a cute pregnant woman! I hope that if I have kids/become pregnant, I can be as cute as her. Congratulations Dallon and D’Lee! This little boy is lucky to have you for parents!

Memorial Day: May 31, 2021

 Happy Memorial Day!

I didn’t take any pictures from the Memorial Day Mathis Party. We met at Avan’s house. I was second to arrive after Kate, Laird, and their kids plus their neighbors kid they were watching. We stared working on the backyard i.e. mowing, trimming, sweeping the patio. Avan arrived not to long after I did. Everyone that came is David, Kara, and their kids, Boyd and Mary, Paul, Bel, and their kids, Mom, Mary, Mandy, Ann, Lee, Anna, McKay, Kriz, and Kit-Kit, and Ross. That’s all I can remember, so sorry if I missed anyone! 

We ate some KFC, plus sides that everyone brought. We just chatted. The kids played with each other. Later they, with their parents went to the park. Some also went to visit graves before going home. Mary, Boyd (when he came back from the park), Mom, Mandy, Mary, and I stayed and talked with Avan while everyone went to the park/cemeteries. Before heading to Mom’s, I stopped by the Price Cemetery and went to Grandma and Grandpa Mathis’ grave. Thanks all for a fun day!

One a funny from the evening: I got home right in the middle of family prayer. Mary couldn’t stop laughing. I had no idea they were in the middle of prayer. I thought they were about to say it. The part that makes it funny is Mandy was in the middle of blessing me to come home in safety. I guess the prayer worked!
