Well, tonight there is a community concert at the high school. The choir has to sing in it. Oh the pressure it is. We get to wear our formals. So how do I do my hair, what jewlery do I were, and the list goes on. The choir has memorized 3 songs in the corse of 2 to 3 weeks. I just barley got a song memorized. Mandy was going to play her flute. She was in a duet and her partner canceled. GOOD LUCK to all of those performing!

First Snow
On December 8th we had the first snowfall of the season. I love snow. I always get excited when it snows. So in honor of the first snowfall, I am going to put the son First Snow on my playlist (when I get it and if it's there). This song is by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. If you haven't heard any of their music, I suggest that you listen. They are my favorite orchestra.
"Shall I Compare Thee to a Summers Day"
Every Tuesday through Thursday in English we write in journals. We usually have a subject. Todays subject was write about this poem. So as Mrs. Jessen was handing the poem out, she looked up and said, "Cassy will like this poem."
I said okay and thought whatever. Then Mrs. Jessen said, "Shall I compare thee to a summers day." I looked up and glared at her.
For those of you who don't know why this is funny is because it happened to be a line said to me in the play. I replied by saying 2 other lines from Shakespear's 18 sonnet.

Mary and Mandy's Birthday
After this Mary asked again if Mandy would open up her presents. Then she kept talking about how her present from Charla might be a Wii game. You see last week was my birthday. From Charla I got a Wii game and Mary was way excited.
So Mandy opened up her present from Charla. It wasn't a Wii game. It was for her cricket. Mary kept asking if a cricket was part of the Wii. She was disappointed when it wasn't.
Well I guess we all know what she wants for Christmas.

All Shook Up

I guess I ought to write about the play. We had 45 cast members, and the play went better than I had hoped. We almost had a full house each nigh. In fact, on the last night we did. Our director Vicki Jessen had to help people find seats. You see everyone kept saying it would be as big as Peter Pan or Annie. I didn't think it would. Fact is that is wasn't, but we came close.
My favorite prop of the whole play was the car. Yes, we had a 1950s car in our play. I hope you all know, but I was very jealous of Kellie and RJ. They got to ride in it. NOT FAIR! The rest of us didn't.
Over all though, I am glad it is over, and I'm glad I did it! Many hours were put into this play. I also don't think I could have taken the directors anymore. No affence Becca, and Vicki. But I see you guys all the time. I mean after all Vicki, you are my English teacher. Becca, you're just in my life all the time. It doesn't help your my choir teacher, piano teacher, and 2nd mom.
I would like to thank all of those involved in the play. It couldn't have happened without you!
Birthdays
Well, there are a lot of Birthdays in December (the best month!). So I thought I'd give a shout out to all those birthdays in December. Now, I'm not going to name the all because I know I would mill a lot. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all those in December!
Thanksgiving Break!
I know. It has been forever since I wrote. Thanksgiving was awesome. We had between 40 to 50 people there. Better than last year. There were some down falls though. It rained all day, David and Kara and their family wasn't there and neither were Jon and Debbie and their kids. Poor Avan though. Her silverware that we used rusted. We stayed in Greenriver for 4 days. It was nice being able to relax and not worry about anything.
Grand Junction was fun. I now know why we didn't go to the mall first. Mandy, Mary, Meg, and I went to the mall first. Mom, Avan, and Anna went down town. The mall has got to be the most crowded place in the afternoon. You can't go to any stores without there being a hundred million people in it. Meg and I decided that next year we would go downtown. Even if it is boaring.
I'm mad at the Hallmark store in the mall. It use to be the bet Hallmark store around. It was huge, and it had everything. Sometime during this year they downgraded it. They took out some of my favorite things.
On Saturday we (Mandy, Mary, Meg, Avan, Anna, and me) went to Moab. The Gardners went to see Twilight. I thought it was okay, but no one looked like how I imagened them. The Thayns went to see 007. They thought it was good
Even though none of the Thayn Family read this, I would like to tell them thanks. Thanks for having us and making Thanksgiving break a lot of fun!
